how does an in-home newborn photography session work?

No, you do not need a perfect home for newborn photography.

I work with natural light and simple, clean compositions in all types of homes across Surrey and London, from large houses to small flats, creating beautiful images in real family spaces.

Before your session, we will discuss which areas of your home we will use for your photographs. During the shoot, I am always mindful of the frame and will gently adjust or move small items if needed to keep the focus on your family. As long as there is natural window light, I can create soft, beautiful images in almost any space. 

do i need a perfect home for newborn photography?

It is best to book your newborn photography session during pregnancy to secure your due date.

Sessions are usually scheduled within the first 1–3 weeks after birth, but older newborns can also be photographed successfully.

Newborns tend to be sleepiest and most settled in the first 10 days after birth, which is often the ideal time for capturing those calm, curled-up newborn moments.
